The Big Slide at Codornices Park

As usual, the parents were much more fearful than their daughter, who insisted on going alone.

She did let Mama and Papa go with her before we left. After watching the older kids use cardboard, she grabbed some cardboard and went down the smaller slides with it. She tried small pieces, big pieces, holding on, not holding on - whatever it takes to get that extra burst of speed.

Her own sense of style

Aside from her unique approach to haberdashery (she also enjoys wearing (clean) pull-up diapers on her head), this picture shows a key element of Palomi's personal style: one pink and one yellow sock. Every day.

Hangin' in the Village, part II

Today involved a lot of lounging. The perfect activity on a hot day.

A Visit from Uncle Sujay

Making faces with Sujay:

We have yet to figure out the story behind Palomi's "clown face."

Uncle Sujay is an expert at horseplay:

And he brings presents! (Palomi knows Elmo as "Red Frog"):

Big and Small

Palomi is into relativity these days - big and small, mostly. She remarks a lot that she's getting bigger. Some conversations, however, are a bit more awkward.

"Papa, why do you have a big butt?" Later in the conversation she said that, "I want a big butt like Papa's."

Taking the playground by storm

The first time she did this, it caught me completely by surprise! I was worried she'd fall and I ran over. Our little daredevil had no problems, of course.

Up the ladder

We have to remind ourselves that she's not even 2 and 3/4 years old. She makes these things look easy.

At Play with Ben

Fortunately, Ben did not climb the tree, catch the airplane, jump down, or have Palomi catch him.
