The Baritone Horn

Palomi was obsessed with the trumpet for the first few years of her life. Recently, her focus switched to the tuba. I wasn't sure she was ready. Most people say kids should be around ten or so before starting a wind instrument. I emailed the principal tubist for the San Francisco Symphony, who sent back a very thoughtful and encouraging email. I think he was right!

Palomi's goal is to play a song on her birthday.

Adhi has a great affinity for his grandparents. We've spent quite a long time looking at a picture of his Nana and Nani. This video is from early in the morning when he found my iPod. That means FaceTime and The Ramones. Oma (or "Amo", as he calls her) didn't answer the video call, much to Adhi's regret.
